MUSIC - GOLD PANDA’s MARRIAGE (STAR SLINGER REMIX)

Time for music again.

Do you hear like me some YMO or Ruichy Sakamoto in that tune? Well, no surprise, the artist Darwin Panda lived a while in Japan. Repetitive tunes, combined with oriental melodies - and this mixed for clubs. Great combination. The clip is great too.

Enjoy!

AD: “JESUS LOVES KIT KAT” VIRAL MARKETING CAMPAIGN IN NETHERLANDS

Kit Kat launched a marketing campaign in the Netherlands “Jesus loves Kit Kat”. This clip explains how it was done. It all started with an email to a news site, and some photoshoped photos. It was sent on Good Friday, and worked extremely well there. Yet it plays with religious feelings.

Would that concept have worked everywhere? Probably not. Very interesting are the mechanics of a low-budget high-impact viral campaign demonstrated in the clip. Kit Kat echoed a viral campaign by Greenpeace. Details here.

APP - CHATROULETTE EXPLAINED

Chatroulette is a new service for one-on-one text-, webcam- and microphone-based chat with people around the world. It is a social Web site that allows you to navigate somewhat incognito. Theres no log in, there is no registration, and that’s fundamentally different from Facebook and Twitter. It was launched around dec’09.

The social Web site, created just some  months ago by the 17-year-old Russian Andrey Ternovskiy, drops you into an unnerving world where you are connected through webcams to a random succession of strangers from across the globe. You see them, they see you. You talk to them, they talk to you. Or not. Then you just zap them away!

Andrey gave recently an interesting interview in the NY Times
